Join us on Saturday May 7th, 2016 as we make our first step into urban design. Learn about the basic principles behind urban design: what it is and how it is being integrated into our planning system. We will then introduce you to the practice of mental mapping with a workshop on its application to follow. The aim of this session is to provide attendees with the tools to communicate about their community effectively using urban design terms. We'll finish this day off with a walking tour of how urban design and mental mapping techniques apply to Killarney.
This event will wrap-up with a networking lunch, so there will be lots of opportunity for community, industry representatives, and city staff to meet, build new connections, and strengthen old ones. We look forward to seeing you there!
