Named after renowned urbanist Jane Jacobs (1916-2006), Jane’s Walks are free local walking tours, which allow people to join together and celebrate their neighbourhoods. Jane’s Walks can explore a variety of themes such as art, water, the history of a place, and almost anything else!
Organized by the Calgary Foundation, Jane’s Walk Calgary has taken place since 2008 with over 250 volunteer leaders have lead 200 walks in 88 of Calgary’s neighbourhoods. No registration is required to participate in a Jane’s Walk and there are many volunteer opportunities.
