The City is reviewing the Land Use Bylaw rules for digital message signs and the current restrictions when visible from Deerfoot Trail. As part of this, the project team may alsoconsider the implications of the Transportation Association of Canada road safety assessment guidelines (2015).
A review of these land use rules and safety assessment guidelines, could result in opportunities for spacing changes, size standards and visibility from Deerfoot Trail. This review will have to balance the hierarchy of on-premise signs, with the safety of motorists and digital opportunities.
