Southview_Placemaking_Meeting#1 
Last week, I started our first pilot project of "place making" in the community of Southview. We started with a walking tour of places in the community that board had previously categorized as "hidden gems, greatest assets and assets for improvement" in their engagement exercise with the urban studies students. During this walk, so many ideas came to fruition as we visited spot to spot. Next we did a quick exercise called "headline" which allowed residents to express their vision for their community in 10 years. We ended the night off by finalizing the 5 spots that we will be concentrating on. Stay tuned for more updates and be sure to check out the community as there are so many amazing gathering spots.
