On October 1st, 2018, Administration presented their report and recommendations on changes to the notice postings and the development notification process. This includes a gradual phasing out of notification through the Calgary Herald, and increased opportunities for digital notifications.

We feel that the changes are an overall improvement, and make communications more accessible and plain language for Calgarians. We also, however, stress the need to ensure that communities continue to be circulated in a timely fashion, and for the City to continue to explore supporting communities with technology and the creation of email lists that residents can sign up for. Finally, on larger development items, we feel that the City should continue to ensure that some central physical notice posting takes place.
