On July 15, PUD was presented with the proposed Guidebook for Great Communities and the North Hill Communities Local Area Plan. The Committee voted to forward the recommendations of administration to Council. Those recommendations directed administration to revise both documents, based on feedback received from stakeholders, and to revise the Urban Form Classification System.
On July 27, Council considered and approved the recommendations of the Standing Policy Committee of Planning and Urban Development (PUD) from July 15. The motion approved was as follows:
That Council:
1. Direct Administration to revise the proposed Guidebook for Great Communities based on the work outlined in Attachment 3 and Attachment 4 and to return to the Standing Policy Committee on Planning and Urban Development no later than 2021 January, in conjunction with the North Hill Communities Local Area Plan.

- Attachment 3 – Summary of Feedback Received and Future Considerations: These are the general revisions that will be done. This document includes the feedback the Administration received, grouped by theme, and how Administration will make revisions to address the feedback.
- Attachment 4 – Updates to Urban Form Classification System: This is the scope of work for the revisions to the Urban Form Classification system. This documents also includes the stakeholder outreach approach Administration will take to revise the system.
