The City is providing a couple of opportunities to learn more about the Guidebook and its application, at Guidebook 101 sessions.

You can find the updated Guidebook for Great Communities (Guidebook) is now available for review at www.calgary.ca/guidebook. It is a policy document that combines existing policies, improved policies and new policies for community redevelopment and growth, all in one place. It provides communities a more inclusive and consistent way to plan for growth, while keeping Calgary and its communities on the map as one of most livable and welcoming cities in the world.

 

Leading up to SPC on Planning and Urban Development (PUD) on Feb. 3, you can register for these Guidebook sessions:

 

  1. North Hill Communities Local Area Plan & Guidebook 101 virtual information session

When: Wednesday, Jan. 27, 6:30 – 8 p.m.

Where: Register at https://engage.calgary.ca/NorthHill/realize

What: This session is specific to the North Hill Communities Local Area Plan and the Guidebook’s role in developing the LAP with the community. There will be an opportunity to submit questions during the presentations.

 

  1. Community Association and public Guidebook 101 session, virtual information session

When: Saturday, Jan. 30, 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

What: This session provides a general Guidebook 101 overview, the updates that were made and its general application. There will be an opportunity to submit questions during the presentation.

As well, we expect to have more Guidebook 101 sessions throughout February and March, leading up to the public hearing of Council on March 22.
