Communities ChooseWell and the Alberta Cancer Prevention Legacy Fund are excited to announce the 2018 Alberta Healthy Community Symposiums. The Calgary event is taking place on March 7th to 8th.
This year’s theme is “Creating Communities for Everyone,” which will address the topic of creating a sense of belonging and engaging and considering the needs of all community members when working to build healthier communities. One of our confirmed keynote speakers is Jim Diers, a world-renowned community developer from Seattle.
There is no charge to attend the symposiums and those traveling from out of town may apply for a travel subsidy until February 15. The Calgary event will take placeĀ at the Cranston Residents Association Hall (11 Cranarch Road SE, Calgary). The symposium will be comprised of an evening session (6:30-9pm) on the first day and a day session (8:30am-4pm) on the second day.
